Evreokastro Archaeological Site | Thassos
Updated: Nov 7, 2019
This site was the north-eastern part of the trade port of ancient Thassos. The ruins reveal the worship of Zeus, Athena, Artemis, the Nymphs and Kori.
This small rock hosted the Temple of "Patrimony Gods", constructed in the 5th century BC. Later, the materials of the Temple were used ti build an old-Christian Church. Today, there is only a small church devoted to the Saint Apostoles. There are also ruins of ancient constructions. The sunset from this point is unique.
