According to the novel writer Stratis Myrivilis, this is the most weird painting of Madonna in Greece and the whole Christian world and it was made by an unknown folk painter. The church itself is a very simple construction of sailors and builders, one of these small perfect creations of Byzantine architecture all over Greece.
