Manos Katrakis | Greek Actor | The Hellenic Resistance and the Last Trip to Kythira

Manos Katrakis (Μάνος Κατράκης in Greek), born in Kissamos Chania Crete, was a famous Greek actor of the 20th century. In 1928 he acted in his first movie "To Lavaro tou '21" (Banner of 1821) and in 1932 he performed in the National Theater of Greece.

He participated in the Hellenic Resistance (against Hitler) and he was exiled to Makronisos, together with other well-known Greek artists: Yiannis Ritsos, Nikos Koundouros, Mikis Theodorakis and Thanasis Vengos.
