Updated: Jun 28

Sarakiniko beach is in the north part of Milos island, while Kleftiko Beach (which close to Sikia Cave) is at the south part. The landscape is unique with no vegetation, and it is considered as one of the most photographed locations in the world.

Sarakiniko Beach Greece was named after the Saracen pirates who used it as their base for their raids. The formations of the white volcanic rocks, due to the specific north wind waves that hit them continuously, create feelings of a lunar scene.

A white long (not organized) beach among the rock formations is a daily destination of many hundreds of nature lovers. But most visitors spread their towels on the white rocks and dive in the crystal clear blue waters. Visiting Sarakiniko beach during a day with strong north wind is not suggested. Scuba divers, don't forget your equipment, because the seabed is really unique!
