Kremasta Lake | Karpenisi | Dam, Fjords and Islands

Lake Kremasta is an artificial lake close to Karpenisi, in the region of Evrytania, the largest of this kind in Greece. The construction of the relevant dam, the Kremasta Dam was finalized in 1965. The dam concentrated the water of 4 significant rivers of the area, Acheloos, Tavropos, Trikeriotis and Agrafiotis.

The lake is crossed by the two bridges of Episkopi and Tatarna. Apart from Karpenisi, other areas close to the lake are Agrinio, Amfilochia and Agrafa.
