Three thousand years were necessary for nature to build Kastania Cave, the 2nd most important cave in Europe of its kind.
Covering an area of 1.500 sq. meters at two levels, at the foot of the gorgeous Mountain Parnonas, Kastania has unique formations, complex figures, gigantic columns and huge hanging rock curtains. It is close to the village Neapoli, around 50 Km from Monemvasia, making it a unique daily excursion for all Monemvasia visitors.
